The UK government is set to invest £1.9bn in its National Cyber Security Strategy (2016) over five years , and has already created the London Office For Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA), funded by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and supported by Lloyds Banking Group and the cyber accelerator programme Cylon.

London is one of the leading blockchain hubs in the world, with £15m of VC funds invested in 2017 and overall investments tripling between Q3 2016 and Q2 2018 to $150m.
